I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with extensive experience working with children and adolescents. I began my career as a nurse practitioner in family practice (FNP). I have previously worked at Psych Pointe in Florida, providing personal and friendly services in a fun, caring environment for children and adults of all ages. I also served as a professor and program director of South University’s Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree program.
I utilize a whole-body, personal approach to treatment, integrating talk therapy and medication management to find the right path to recovery and improve quality of life. Helping and caring for people on their mental health journey is a rewarding and meaningful career for me.
I specialize in anxiety, mood disorders and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). My therapy helps patients to see how their unique mind, beliefs, and life experiences inform their mental health and to learn different perspectives and coping strategies to improve their overall mental well-being. Everyone has a unique background, and understanding them helps me find a specific therapy to help.
My care style is patient-centered and supported. I want to know my patients’ life stories, feelings, thoughts and more.
