I am a psychiatrist with experience treating patients with substance use disorders. I have worked with Mount Sinai Hospital’s inpatient, outpatient and partial hospital programs. I have also worked at the Bronx VA Hospital and the Mount Sinai West Addiction Institute. I provided outpatient telehealth services with the Fifth Avenue Counseling Center. I have treated a wide range of patient populations and diagnoses I have been exposed to in a wide range of practice settings.
I have experience with psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as psychiatry. I combine elements of both into my care with patients. I am passionate about ensuring patients have a safe, welcoming space to be vulnerable and receive quality care. I strive to be someone who can help patients gain trust in mental health providers. I have worked with patients across a range of populations, from adolescent to adult to geriatric ages. I have worked in veteran-specific settings, as well as settings specific to substance use disorders.
I hope that patients can share their hopes and goals for treatment with me, as well as any reservations and anything else that might be important to know about their lived experience. This helps me better understand and treat each patient as an individual. I attempt to provide a patient-centered, welcoming, inclusive and safe environment for patients to receive care. I am always seeking to learn and grow and often find my patients teach me as much as I teach them.
