I am a psychiatrist specializing in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and personality disorders. I’ve worked in a variety of psychiatric healthcare settings, including inpatient, emergency and consultation psychiatry. I am also trained in forensic psychiatry, giving me experience with issues at the intersection of mental illness and the law.
I believe we are all capable of being a little better tomorrow than we are today. What “better” means is unique to each person, and my goal is to help you discover your version of better and work towards it each day. I have a particular interest in mental health for people of color and in understanding how cultural factors impact mental health functioning and approaches to care.
I’m proud of every patient who takes the step to seek mental health support, and I hope to make this journey a rewarding one. My approach to care comes from a place of curiosity—I want to understand who you are, how you’ve arrived, where you are now and where you’d like to go. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan tailored to help you reach your goals.
