I am a licensed clinical social worker with 35 years of experience working in the mental health field. This includes 20 years with the Onondaga Department of Mental Health in Syracuse, New York, serving as a liaison between schools and the county, students and families. I have also worked at Easter Seals with individuals who have disabilities and mental health conditions.
I specialize in grief and loss, learning and developmental disabilities, and anxiety and depression. I also provide therapy for issues relating to family of origin. I have worked with patients who struggle with addiction, as well as dual diagnosis between substance use and other mental health conditions. I have also worked with families going through divorce or family court. I believe in treating patients how I would want to be treated or how I would want a family member to be treated. I strive to work with diverse populations to cultivate an inclusive environment with integrity.
I carefully and respectfully meet clients to pair them with solution-focused behavior. I take time to build rapport and trust with all of my patients. I utilize psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), integrative therapy and education.
