ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION TERMS OF SERVICE
As part of utilizing mental health services through Rivia Mind, we may send you various communications related to your care. These may include details about initiating care, appointment reminders, administrative updates, and other service-related notifications (“Communications”). We use electronic forms of communication, such as (1) emails sent to the address provided at registration and (2) SMS text messages sent to the mobile number you provided during sign-up.
Email Communication
Rivia Mind’s email system is encrypted and HIPAA compliant. You agree to provide us with a valid email address. If your email address changes, you must update your contact information with Rivia Mind to continue receiving emails. You may email your provider for routine issues such as prescription refills. For scheduling and rescheduling, please get in touch with the front desk (info@riviamind.com).
Please be aware that email has inherent confidentiality risks. You should not use email communication if you are concerned about any breaches of privacy that may inadvertently occur. In addition, whenever possible, please avoid using it to convey clinical information or to ask clinical questions, as those should be done over the phone or in session.
SMS Communication
The wireless carriers used by Rivia Mind to transmit SMS messages are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If your mobile number changes, you must update your contact information with Rivia Mind to continue receiving messages. Please note that Rivia Mind cannot guarantee the security or confidentiality of SMS messages, as there is a potential risk of interception by third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All opt-in data and consent information for text messaging will remain confidential and not be shared with any third parties. SMS messages may include minimal protected health information (PHI). The number of messages sent may vary based on the frequency of your services. Standard message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out of SMS messaging at any time by replying “STOP” to any message received from Rivia Mind. Once we receive your “STOP” request, a confirmation message will be sent to verify that you have been unsubscribed from SMS messages. Please be assured that opting out will not impact your access to services or your quality of care at Rivia Mind.
If you wish to resume SMS messaging, reply “START” to any message from Rivia Mind. Should you encounter any issues with the messaging system, reply with “HELP” or contact us at info@riviamind.com for assistance.
