I’m currently training at Columbia’s School of Social Work, where I’ve been building clinical experience while staying rooted in the values that brought me to this field: creativity, compassion, and a belief in people’s ability to grow. Alongside my clinical training, I run a communications freelancing business, where I use creativity and problem-solving to help others express what matters most to them.
During my previous internship, I led educational workshops for children and adults on preventing child sexual abuse. The experience gave me insight into how to talk about painful, complex topics with clarity and care — something that continues to shape my clinical work. I’ve also worked with clients navigating grief, religious trauma, anxiety, depression, and everyday stressors. I know how overwhelming life can feel sometimes, and I aim to be a grounded presence as we work through what’s happening together.
So far, my training has included Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and the Task-Centered Approach. I’m also looking forward to broadening my work with other modalities — including psychodynamic therapy — during my time with Rivia Mind.
My approach is flexible and client-led. I go into every interaction understanding that you are always in charge of your therapeutic journey, and I’m confident we’ll learn and move toward healing together.
