I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a master’s degree in nursing and experience working as a psychiatric RN for over eight years. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, as well as working with neurodivergent individuals and both adults and young adults.
I began psychiatric nursing in February of 2016 at a state inpatient institute, treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders. Through this, I could treat patients for a long time and witness their treatment journey. There, I learned that treatment and recovery are not always clear, linear paths and that patience is key.
My philosophy of care is all about meeting clients where they’re at while keeping in mind the treatment goals. I sincerely desire to help others realize and obtain their goals. I believe all patients, families, and colleagues are unique individuals with unique needs, and my priority is to make my clients feel respected, comfortable, and confident about the care they receive from my service.
