I am a psychiatrist with experience treating depression, anxiety, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and bipolar disorder. I previously worked at SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital, serving in both inpatient and outpatient environments. I particularly enjoyed outpatient settings as they allowed me to build therapeutic relationships with patients and see improvements over time. I have also worked with a variety of colleges, gaining experience working with young adults and student populations, both graduate and undergraduate.
I am passionate about delivering quality care and good communication to all of my patients, including young adults, professionals, college students, graduate students, and those in the LGBTQ+ community. I understand that it can be overwhelming to begin seeing a new psychiatrist, which is why I work to create a welcoming and safe environment without judgment. My goal is for patients to feel comfortable enough to open up and work with me to achieve positive improvements.
I like to get to know my patients and ensure they have some say in their treatment plans and goals. I work to be flexible while also following the standard of care. I believe in building a strong doctor-patient relationship and being an added support and resource in my patients’ lives.
