I am a therapist with experience working in inpatient and outpatient facilities. I have worked at a detox center, running groups and providing mental healthcare to underserved populations. I have also worked in a mental health clinic with patients from the ages of 11 to 60 years old, treating a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and personality disorders. I also have experience and success working with patients who are exploring their sexuality and gender identity by providing a safe and empathetic space for them to do so.
I am most passionate about creating a safe, empathetic and nonjudgmental space for patients to feel comfortable and explore anything from their innermost struggles to their day-to-day lives. I love to see patients realize their inner strength and harness that into creating a fulfilling and meaningful life. I have worked with the LGBTQ+ community, undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students, as well as couples.
I lead with empathy and understanding. I am open to discussing any and everything you feel comfortable bringing to the session and holding space without judgment. I will go at your pace and never pressure you to open up about overwhelming topics until you feel ready. I approach care through a whole-person lens, unifying all parts to create a deeper understanding of the individual. I have a humanistic approach, drawing attention to patients’ unique potential and ability to grow. I also utilize a thoughtful integration of different modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and psychoanalytic theory.
