My journey as a therapist has been shaped by meaningful work with those facing significant life challenges. I’ve dedicated my practice to supporting vulnerable and diverse individuals across different settings, including a non-profit domestic violence shelter for families and providing telehealth services to adults and families experiencing a wide range of diagnoses.
I specialize in supporting patients presenting with trauma, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. My work focuses on identifying effective coping strategies, developing comprehensive safety plans, and educating clients on the treatment process. I draw from various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychoeducation.
In my practice, I emphasize helping patients recognize their innate strengths while developing personalized techniques to help them better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I subscribe to a cooperative, compassionate, and culturally competent approach that acknowledges each person’s unique experience and the importance of incorporating the intersectionality of their identity.
I’ve worked extensively with families, parents, adults, and older adults, understanding the diverse challenges that each life stage can bring. My passion lies in widening the net of mental healthcare to reach all who need support by reducing the stigma that still surrounds seeking help.
