In my work as a therapist, I focus on creating a space where clients feel safe, empowered, and understood — always grounded in the core values of social work. My practice is shaped by experience supporting young adults and LGBTQ+ individuals navigating OCD, exploring identity, building self-esteem, and adjusting to life transitions. I’ve also worked closely with survivors of intimate partner violence and patients coping with profound life challenges, such as bereavement and chronic illness, helping them process complex emotions and rebuild a sense of meaning in their lives.
Before joining Rivia Mind, I worked in an intensive outpatient program, where I assisted clients in managing anxiety, depression, and relational concerns. There, I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP). I’ve also facilitated support groups for individuals experiencing grief, loss, and chronic illness — including body grief. In that work, I drew from the dual-process model and meaning-making frameworks, which help patients move between grief and daily life, make sense of their experiences, and adapt with resilience.
I am committed to a holistic understanding of people’s problems and, in every session, I aim to foster a space that is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and rooted in your strengths. I often incorporate introspection and creativity to help clients deepen their emotional insight and awareness. I hope that through open-mindedness and self-compassion, you’ll begin to experience a more fulfilling relationship with yourself and others on your own terms.
