I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders. I worked at Housing Works East New York Community Health Center, providing care to underserved populations. I also worked at New York-Presbyterian Columbia University’s inpatient psychiatric floor, helping patients suffering from acute psychiatric disorders.
I have experience treating adults with anxiety, depression, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder and psychotic disorders. While I do not adhere to one modality, I incorporate elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy and supportive psychotherapy into my work. I am passionate about empowering people with both the tools they need and an increased level of self-understanding to help them navigate life’s challenges.
I strive to ensure my patients feel comfortable and heard. I offer an individualized approach to care, adjusting my approach based on the specific needs of my patient for both medication management and psychotherapy. I believe building a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for successful mental healthcare.
