I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience working with a diverse range of patients. I previously worked at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerset, New Jersey, treating a range of cases, from adolescents with eating disorders to seniors dealing with dementia and delirium, prisoners, undocumented immigrants without insurance, lawyers, teachers, new mothers and more. I also worked at Summit Oaks Hospital in Summit, New Jersey, with both voluntary and involuntary patients.
I have immense compassion for my patients. I have worked with all ages and the LGBTQ+ population, and I have particular experience treating patients with eating disorders, as well as patients struggling with gender dysphoria. In previous positions, I have completed evaluations for patients starting hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and gender-affirming surgery. I primarily utilize supportive psychotherapy with a focus on reframing thoughts and positive coping skills. My goal is to ensure that patients do not feel judged or stigmatized and that they do not feel ashamed of asking for help. I want my patients to know that there is always hope, and I have hope for everyone.
In my treatments, I am empathetic, experienced, caring and committed to delivering supportive and nonjudgmental care while ensuring that my patients are comfortable and listened to. I work with my patients to set and achieve goals. I want patients to leave feeling that all of their questions have been answered and hope that with treatment, patients will have improved their quality of life and will be able to reach the goals that they have set within the therapeutic space.
