I am a psychiatrist with training in consultation/liaison psychiatry, previously known as psychosomatic medicine. I’ve worked in both hospital and outpatient settings, caring for patients whose medical or surgical conditions are connected to psychiatric concerns. This has included work in psycho-oncology, transplant cases, peri- and postpartum care, and medical ethics. I’ve also served as the primary attending psychiatrist in the Emergency Department at NYU Langone. In outpatient care, I focus on patients interested in psychodynamic psychotherapy, especially those with medical complexities.
I incorporate mindfulness practices in my treatments and have experience working with medically complex patients, psycho-oncology, relationship challenges, women’s mental health, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I also support patients dealing with mood disorders, psychotic disorders, post-stroke or traumatic brain injuries and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
I’m passionate about reducing the stigma around seeking mental health support. I believe that when care is accessible, it opens the door to a more joyful and balanced life. I’ve had the privilege of working with adults across the lifespan, from late adolescence to older adults, and I strive to provide a space where patients feel safe enough to be honest and vulnerable. My approach to care is open, curious, and non-judgmental. I truly believe you are the expert on your own life, and I’m here to create a space where you can explore that expertise in a supportive environment.
