I am a therapist with experience treating immigrant trauma for first- and second-generation individuals, supporting people in developing a sense of self, and treating anxiety and depression. I previously worked with children and adolescents in the inpatient department at Jersey City Medical Center, addressing severe trauma such as abandonment and sexual abuse.
I specialize in anxiety, trauma, depression, cultural identity and parenting. I use modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT). I am most passionate about being present with my clients, helping them gain deeper self-awareness, and supporting them in embracing their true selves. My clients range from couples and new parents to international students, first- and second-generation immigrants, young adults facing life transitions and individuals with a history of trauma.
I believe a strong sense of self-will empowers people to live fulfilling lives. I support my clients in understanding and accepting their thoughts, feelings, and past experiences in a collaborative and judgment-free environment. I am also a bilingual therapist, providing person-centered approaches for clients with different cultural backgrounds to foster mental health.
