I began work as a student psychotherapist from February to August of 2023, focusing on young adults and adolescents with histories of trauma through dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I have since worked as a student psychotherapist for Rivia Mind, treating young adults and older adults with mental health conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), dissociative identity disorder (DID) and major depressive disorder (MDD).
I specialize in helping patients with low self-esteem and depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and complex trauma. I adopt a trauma-informed approach in all of my therapy relationships, looking for connections between the client’s past negative experiences and current-day thoughts and behaviors. I utilize a mix of client-centered work and a more directive approach for the best results.
I prefer to use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy(DBT), and psychodynamic work. I firmly believe that every individual has unique and positive potential. I hope to be the helping hand in my patients finding and believing in that potential. I am firmly committed to providing clients an open and trusting environment, with a strong respect for the client’s individual strengths and needs.
