I am a Licensed Social Worker with experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions and supporting clients in crisis. I believe that moments of crisis can offer opportunities for safety, growth, and resilience. For four years, I worked as a Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line, where I respected each person’s unique experience and supported them through their most challenging moments. More recently, I served as a clinician for the Workplace Options Employee Assistance Program/Student Assistance Program, where I conducted clinical intakes, provided therapy and crisis intervention, offered short-term solution-focused counseling, and connected individuals to specialized care.
My approach is devoted to supporting whole-person wellbeing through a patient-centered and eclectic lens, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I’ve supported clients in navigating a variety of challenges, including anxiety and panic, life transitions, anger management, burnout, couples conflict, depression, difficulty concentrating, grief, LGBTQIA+ support, safety planning, stress, workplace challenges and women’s health. I measure client progress through feedback, active engagement in the therapeutic process and evidence-based scaling questions to track their objective experiences.
I am well-versed in modalities such as cultural responsiveness, crisis intervention, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, strengths-based therapy, solution-focused brief therapy and trauma-informed care. As a second-generation immigrant Latina, I’m especially devoted to serving underrepresented communities. During my master’s program, I selected the certificate program for Latina/o/x Initiatives for Service, Training, and Assessment (LISTA) to deepen my commitment to culturally responsive care.
I’m passionate about whole-body health and how the body, mind, and spirit work together. I believe in nurturing each area to help us connect to our passion and purpose. In the therapeutic space, I aim to help clients respect their true selves, strengthen their resilience, and grieve impactful experiences while considering how they want to move forward and heal. While we can’t always control the experiences that come our way, I believe we can care for ourselves and choose how we respond. My goal is to empower you and collaborate together on pathways that can nourish your wellbeing. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you.
