Clinician Spotlight: Teneille Pryce, LMSW

Clinician Spotlight: Teneille Pryce

This week, we’re proud to feature Teneille Pryce, LMSW, a therapist who believes that meaningful change begins with trust, curiosity, and collaboration. With experience supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation disorders, Teneille integrates multiple therapeutic approaches to meet each person’s goals and needs.

Specialty & Approach to Therapy

For Teneille, therapy is both a craft and a collaboration. “I take a person-centered approach,” she explains. “That means I work alongside my patients to help them reach their goals, offering guidance and support while honoring their pace.”

She helps clients build insight and develop strategies for lasting change. Her focus is on helping people better understand themselves, manage overwhelming emotions, and cultivate resilience.

“What matters most to me is creating a safe, nurturing environment where people feel seen and supported,” she says. “Meaningful change happens when there’s trust and honest dialogue — that’s what I aim to build in every single session.”

Teneille has worked with individuals across the lifespan, from children to older adults, and finds deep fulfillment in helping people through each stage of life. “Some of my favorite moments as a therapist are when patients ‘graduate’ from treatment,” she shares. “Celebrating their progress — and seeing them recognize their own strength — is an incredibly rewarding experience.”

Advice to Those Seeking Therapy

Teneille compares therapy to a journey — one that the patient leads, with their therapist walking alongside them. “Therapy is a journey you choose the destination for,” she says. “How far you go and where you go is up to you, and your therapist will be there to support you every step of the way — even when you feel lost.”

When it comes to finding the right therapist, Teneille encourages following your instinct. “Choose someone you feel comfortable with — or even just curious about,” she says. “And if, after some time, you realize the match isn’t quite right, talk to your provider. It’s all part of the process.”

For Teneille, the therapeutic relationship is a partnership built on open communication. She reminds patients that they are allowed to ask questions, share concerns, and advocate for what they need.

Finding Balance Through Self-Care

Teneille’s approach to self-care is grounded in simplicity and consistency. “My self-care is rooted in daily routines and healthy habits,” she shares. “It’s about giving myself adequate rest and taking care of my overall well-being.”

She believes that tending to the basics creates the foundation for resilience and balance, both in her own life and in the lives of her patients.

Whether you’re beginning therapy for the first time or continuing your personal growth journey, providers like Teneille offer care that’s compassionate, collaborative, and empowering. Reach out to Rivia Mind today to get started.
